YOUTH

Samuel Ullman

YOUTH

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease.  This often exists in a man of sixty more than a body of twenty.  Nobody grows old merely by a number of years.  We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.  Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what's next, and the joy of the game of living.  In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at twenty, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch the waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at eighty.

The Path of the Phoenix...Choosing The Unknown Path

The decisions that unfold in your path are not as significant as you make them.
This way or that way?  Red or Black?  The decisions are inconsequential.
What is paramount is that you make a CHOICE, that you summon the COURAGE to press forward.

Indecision paralyzes, you become stagnant, dull, lifeless like a beached whale....If you retreat to the safety & security of your "comfort zone" you regress, shrink, contract, deteriorate.
It is only by moving FORWARD, by BOLDLY facing the UNKNOWN, experiencing uncertainty, & SURRENDERING yourself up to the INFINITE POSSIBILITIES do you ACTUALIZE your VISION, MANIFEST your dreams & longings to UNEARTH FREEDOM & FULFILLMENT.
The UNKNOWN is the PATH with HEART...the ROAD where you will meet time & time again your POWER, BRILLIANCE, & INDWELLING GENIUS.  This where COMMITMENT, INTENTION & GRACE fuse and DEMONSTRATE as DIVINE GUIDANCE/PROVIDENCE...The Invisible Hands of UNIVERSAL LAW ALIGN to bestow MAGNIFICENCE.
This is the WARRIOR'S PATH...the journey only braved by the WILLING.
This is the road of RISK, CHALLENGE, ADVERSITY, FAITH & CONVICTION.
This is the journey where you will NEVER ARRIVE....INFINITE BECOMING...
SURRENDER will shape & mold you...This is the Path of RESURRECTION & DEATH.
Dying to the KNOWN.

How Much longer will you wait for your dreams? Financial Freedom? Start your own business? Get in shape? Find your Soul~mate? Start a family?  Start auditioning?  Write that book? Screenplay? Fashion Line?  Go back to school?

Better yet get out of that dead end job or dead end relationship?
How many more dreams will you stifle & bury?
Its Now or NOTHING.
Which will you choose?
Know = stagnation.(((More of the Same)))
Unknown = ??? (((Risk/Surrender/Faith)))

The Optimist Creed

The Optimist Creed

Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.
To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Risk

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out to another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.  To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return.  To live is to risk dying.  To hope is to risk despair. To try is to risk failure. But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.  The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.  He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.  Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.  Only a person who risks is free.  The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change;  and the realist adjusts the sails.

I Am That

To ignite a shift in Consciousness, One must have the courage to speak out, One must possess the strength & willingness to stand alone beyond the confines of the common & comfortable path. It takes the individual to create the collective. This is Power. I am that. ~Judah

The definition of Power from my perception.

Power for me is transforming ourselves, transforming our afflictions, fear and pain to experience freedom, certainty and joy. Power is a journey with others not over others...Power is not control, it is surrender...Power is Mindfulness not Righteousness, being fully present to all that is and giving all that you are to it. Power is living "from" service and contribution to be a vessel/opening for the divine to express through me. True power is from "love" nothing else.

The Value of Time...

To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
Who has given birth to
A premature baby....

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
You can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:

LOSE ONE
The origin of this letter is unknown,
But it brings awareness to everyone. Pass it on if you choose.

Remember...

Embrace the ones you love!

Peace, love and prosperity to all!

A Challenge

I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk. ~Tony Robbins

Rise Up...take Action

Awareness fused with action reaps great reward. Understanding without action breeds stagnation. What will take action on Now?....Rise Up.

What will matter~ Michael Josephson

What Will Matter?

by Michael Josephson

Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten
will pass to someone else.

Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations
and jealousies will finally disappear.
So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It won't matter where you came from
or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter?
How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought
but what you built, not what you got but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success
but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned
but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity,
compassion, courage, or sacrifice
that enriched, empowered or encouraged others
to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence
but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew,
but how many will feel a lasting loss when your gone.

What will matter is not your memories
but the memories that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered,
by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.

Choose to live a life that matters.

Giving ~ Kahlil Gibrand

Giving

Then said a rich man, "Speak to us of Giving."
And he answered:
You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the overprudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, thirst that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much which they have - and they give it for recognition and their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome.
And there are those who have little and give it all.
These are the believers in life and the bounty of life, and their coffer is never empty.
There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.
And there are those who give with pain, and that pain is their baptism.
And there are those who give and know not pain in giving, nor do they seek joy, nor give with mindfulness of virtue;
They give as in yonder valley the myrtle breathes its fragrance into space.
Though the hands of such as these God speaks, and from behind their eyes He smiles upon the earth.
It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding;
And to the open-handed the search for one who shall receive is joy greater than giving
And is there aught you would withhold?
All you have shall some day be given;
Therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors'.
You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving."
The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.
Surely he who is worthy to receive his days and his nights is worthy of all else from you.
And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream.
And what desert greater shall there be than that which lies in the courage and the confidence, nay the charity, of receiving?
And who are you that men should rend their bosom and unveil their pride, that you may see their worth naked and their pride unabashed?
See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an instrument of giving.
For in truth it is life that gives unto life - while you, who deem yourself a giver, are but a witness.
And you receivers - and you are all receivers - assume no weight of gratitude, lest you lay a yoke upon yourself and upon him who gives.
Rather rise together with the giver on his gifts as on wings;
For to be overmindful of your debt, is to doubt his generosity who has the free-hearted earth for mother, and God for father.

Saying No

Summon from within you the courage to say no to the things and people that are not serving you...if you are committed to rediscovering yourself and living your life powerfully with authenticity. Who or what do you get to "let go" of today?

Ruler of Spirit

The ONE who rules their Spirit has won a greater victory than the taking of a city. ~Jesus "The Christ."

Self Mastery

Reshape yourself through the power of your will.~Those who have conquered themselves...live in peace, alike in cold and heat, pleasure and pain, praise and blame...To such people a clod of dirt, a stone, and gold are the same...Because they are impartial, they rise to great heights. ~ Krishna Quotes from The Bhagavad Gita

All our needs are met

SO many of us struggle through life feeling needy~feeling not enough or not having enough~yet we are in an abundant and loving universe where our needs are already met. Feeling unloved... our essence is love and we need to realise this. Feeling unconnected or alone... we are connected to everyone and everything that is and we are never alone. All our needs are met... in a perfect plan. And it is all about love.

Truth

Because we cling to the past we become unavailable to the"Truth" of the present. Becoming free of conditionings, of religions, scriptures, prophets and messiahs, will bring you "home." The "TRUTH" is the treasure at the center of your BEING. Awaken to who you truly are.
